Founder & Editor
Christine Najera

I moved to Wildwood in 2019 not knowing a single thing about it. Wildwood Living is what happened when I went looking.
About Christine
Christine Najera is the founder and editor of Wildwood Living, a local magazine and directory covering the people, businesses and places that make Wildwood, Oxford and Sumter County home.
She's Florida born and raised, from the Winter Garden and Clermont area, but Wildwood was new to her when she arrived. She couldn't find much about the town online, so she went exploring: down side roads past farmland and historic spots, into parks, local shops and the kind of businesses that still know their customers by name. She wanted to know how the town started, when the growth came and what was worth discovering close to home. Wildwood Living is where she shares what she finds.
She's a storyteller by training and by nature. Christine holds an MFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida. Before she started publishing, she taught musical theatre, elementary school and high school English. She has also spent more than ten years in content strategy, SEO and digital marketing, helping businesses get found by the people looking for them. That's the same thing she wants for every local business in Wildwood.
At home, she's a wife to Oscar and a mother of five. The family's life revolves around nature, animals and the outdoors, which makes Sumter County's open spaces and wildlife a natural place to explore together.
What Christine covers
- Local dining and the people behind the restaurants
- Small businesses and the owners building them
